Rules of Conduct - Society of the First Pour

Rules of Conduct — Society of the First Pour

As decreed by Duel Drinkware Inc.

Rule I. The First Pour is Sacred.

The first drink of the evening must be poured with purpose. It is never rushed, never wasted, never taken alone without a thought.

Rule II. Toast with Meaning, or Not at All.

Raise your glass not for noise, but for memory, defiance, or celebration. A true Dueler toasts with weight.

Rule III. No Ice Before Its Time.

A proper drink deserves proper chill. Half-melted cubes and rushed spirits dishonor the ritual.

Rule IV. Glassware is Not a Suggestion.

The vessel matters. Use the glass your drink requires. Rocks, coupe, tumbler—each has a reason.

Rule V. Respect the Drink and the Drinker.

Mock not a person’s choice of spirit or story. Duelers fight their battles in silence—and with style.

Rule VI. Never Reveal the Final Pour.

The last drink of the night is personal. Its identity remains between you, the glass, and whatever story you’re telling yourself.

Rule VII. Clean the Bar. Sign the Ledger.

Always leave your space with care. And if invited, sign the Society’s ledger—your mark matters.

Rule VIII. Carry the Ritual Onward.

Every pour, every toast, every etched glass is a chance to pass the ritual forward. Bring others into the fold with taste and tact.
